The Fronterizx Fianza Fund

With our new name comes an expanded vision. We are proud to announce that we are inheriting and expanding the Fronterizx Fianza Fund, New Mexico’s only dedicated immigration-specific bail fund. For years, this crucial, volunteer-run program has paid immigration bonds to free people from unjust detention.

We are honored to carry forward this legacy of community-led liberation. While similar efforts exist in other parts of the country, this is the only fund of its kind in New Mexico, and one of the few nationally to be integrated into a permanent legal services organization. Under the stewardship of Contigo, the fund will now be part of a powerful model that combines community bond support with direct legal representation, ensuring that no one is detained simply because they cannot afford to pay.
